Subject: Request for support for the PARTY OF COMMUNISTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA(PCRM) AND THE PARTY OF SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT “MOLDOVA UNITA” (PDSMU) with regard to their rejection of the US missiles in Romania and their opposition to send Moldovan troops to Afghanistan

Considering that WE support the creation of a multipolar world of Peace

WE declare the following:

First: WE support the dignified position of the PCRM (when it was the government) in refusing to participate in NATO military exercises in May of 2009[1].

Second: WE support the following declaration of the former President of Moldova, the Moldovan Communist Party leader Vladimir Voronin“If the Parliament considers the issue on sending our boys to Afghanistan, our faction will unanimously vote against it”[2],

Third: WE support Deputy Vladimir Turcan and the other Deputies of PDSMU in their request that 1º, the Government of Romania reject the installation of missiles of the USA [3] and 2º, to the Primer Minister Vlad Filat on 18/02/2010 that he fire Defense Minister, Vitalie Marinutsu, due to the fact that he has declared that he is in favor of Moldova joining NATO[4].

Fourth: WE agree with and applaud the declared position of Deputy Vladimir Voronin from february 11th 2010 when he doubted that the truth of the US position that the installation of US MISSILES are aimed exclusively at Iran. I believe that Deputy Voronin was correct when he stated that “The real targets of these missiles are another country. It is clear that the incorporation of our neighbor Romania into this project will cause indignation in public opinion of Moldova ”[5]

Fifth: WE support the request of Deputy Grigore Petrenco and the other Deputies of PCRM on the 11 of February of 2010 that the Moldovan Parliament should condemn the decision of the Government of Romanian to permit the installation of US missiles on their territory[6]
